There's a great choice of events happening in Chorley and South Ribble over the weekend:

PAID: Classical Guitar Concert, Chorley, Sunday, April 22

John Mills and Cobie Smit, international classic guitar duo, will be playing a variety of music in St Laurence Church, Chorley. Expect music from England, Ireland, Spain, Latin America and Austria. Concert starts at 3pm, with doors open from 2.30pm. Tickets are £10 adults; £8 concessions, and are available on the door. For more information or for reservations call 01257 276404.

FREE: South with Shackleton Illustrated Talk, Leyland, Saturday, April 21

FREE: The Redcoats are Coming, Chorley, Sunday, April 22

In and amongst the bustle of the military encampment, find out why bright red uniforms were perfectly sensible and why the army took wives and children with them. Runs from 12pm until 4pm at Astley Hall.

PAID: The Well-Dressed Gentlemen, Croston, Saturday, April 21

The Well-Dressed Gentlemen take music from the 1920s and 30s and interpret it in their own unique way.​ ​Catch them at Croston Old School at 7pm. Support from The Three Cellos.

PAID: Come and Sing Songs of Praise, Chorley, Saturday, April 21

Join Chorley Choral Society and guests in an uplifting evening of favourite hymns and Rutter Anthems. ​At St George’s Church, St George’s Street from 7pm. Tickets £5 on the door.
