A host of historically-themed events are coming up at Hoghton Tower over the next few weeks.
Regency ReJigged will perform 17th and 18th century dances this Sunday, September 20, which coincides with the September Merchant of Hoghton Farmers’ Market, open from 10am.
As well as browsing the many food stalls, people can watch the good ol’ fashioned English dances at 11.30am, 1pm and 2pm.
It’s a Crafty Vintage weekend on September 26 and 27, with crafts, food, face painting magic shows, and an Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter’s Tea Party.
That takes place from 10am until 5pm on both days.
On October 3, Regency ReJigged return, this time to teach visitors the dance routines from Jane Austen’s days.
Tickets for the event, which starts at 3pm, cost £25, which includes cream tea.
The farmers’ market is back on October 18, and Maurizio Bocchi from the La Locanda Italian restaurant in Gisburn will hold a cooking masterclass on the same day, from 10am.
Tickets cost £60, including a two-course meal.
The Jane Austen dance and cooking workshops require people to book in advance to take part.
